So I've been taking steps for about two weeks now, mostly going back and forth between mom and dad. But today I made the longest independent journey yet-a measured 24 feet lengthwise across the living room. I did it several times. I still have trouble walking in a straight line, and sometimes I lose my balance, but hey, this is definitely progress. I'm only nine months and six days. Don't ask me to crawl. Crawling? Pooh! If you look closely, you'll see a bandaid on my chin. I fell while walking one day and my chin got scraped and bloodied. My First Real War Wound.
Here I am, starting from dad.
And on the return journey with mom close behind.
Yes! I made it.

Lily,
I'm so excited that you're walking now! Now I can teach you how to dance and climbs stairs and things. We'll have a blast!

Way to go Lily. If your parents only knew! granny would slow you down if I could. Your Pa walked at 9 months and I believe your daddy did also. I really love my barretta picture. You are one beautiful little girl
